I also kicked some ass on Jeopardy!, despite missing the final Jeopardy question (who knew the US acquired Indiana in the Revolutionary war? not me or any of the contestants). Clearly I'm super smart.**
I'm hoping all of this translates into super speed tonight. I'm going to attempt a baby tempo run. After actually reading the FIRST book, I realized the full plan is WAY beyond my abilities this time around. So, I'm going to try to maintain a sub 10 min mi for 1 mile. We'll see how this goes. I'm not super hopeful. My rib cage muscles were sore yesterday. I assume it's from the 7 mile run since I didn't do to much housework this weekend, but that's never happened before. Weird. If I am, in fact, Superwoman as I suspect, I've found my cryptonite: Crest Whitestrips. I did 4 days of 7 and my teeth hurt! They're whiter, but in constant pain like I have 6 cavities. I took yesterday off as a rest day for my poor dentin. I'm going to try to hop back on that saddle tonight. I guess it's true what they say, "It hurts to be beautiful." Also, "Dental insurance is expensive."

LMAO! I wasn't going to bring up that it's kids' week on Jeopardy, but since you did...
Good luck on the tempo. I've been STILL too wussy to go for one.
Well, since you're cheating, anyway, so-called "SooperChik", why not just run your next 5k race at a retirement community to test your sooperspeed theory?
Put some Sleep-eze in their mush first, just to be sure.
It works at NAMBLA, which I mention only because who ELSE but Glaven would mention NAMBLA?
Whoops. Accidentally deleted that last comment.
@Glaven: I'm sure you know all about the paces of NAMBLA men. I wouldn't want to go up against the boys though. I'm sure they've developed some speed.
FIRST is scary hard - I don't blame you. I hardcore failed at every tempo and long run pace it prescribed.
And I think crest white strips hurt too! My teeth were sensitive for months after using them. Oh, beauty.
Do dentists approve of those white strips? Seems like they wouldn't want your teeth painted like that. This is why mine are still good and yellow.
I've been mulling over doing one of those at-home tooth whitening methods, if only so my dentist will quit asking me every time I go in if I'm happy with the color of my teeth. (I *was* but of course now I'm all self-conscious. Thanks, medico-industrial complex!)
Anyway, would you say it was worth it? Should I just try it and see for myself?
